Elena Buckner

Elena Buckner was first attracted by Bishop Seabury's small community and commitment to diversity. She has been teaching French since 2012. At Seabury, she also serves as the Student Diversity Club sponsor, Director of Community Service, and Administrative Assistant for athletics. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kansas State University, a Master of Arts in Education from Baker University, and a Reading Specialist certificate from Emporia State University. Mme Buckner focuses on challenging students on an individual level with customized instruction within each class. She and her husband, Bob Rusche, enjoy entertaining their two children, trying new recipes, and road tripping together. So far, they have pictures with 32 US state signs and hope to eventually get all 50.
