Luke Helker

Dr. Lucas Helker is a percussionist and educator dedicated to helping students use music to expand their artistic and academic potential. As the instrumental music instructor, he strives to make music education fun, accessible, and empowering. Luke has earned both his DMA and MM from the University of Kansas, and actively performs in local productions at the Lawrence Arts Center along with other Kansas City ensembles. He lives with his cat Jules and can often be found running around town or reading a new book.
