James LaRocca joined Seabury’s full-time faculty in 2016 after substituting long-term for 8th grade science in the previous semester.  He earned a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Biology from the University of Kansas, as well as an MEd in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in STEAM from Concordia University Portland.  James loves Seabury’s caring and supporting community and the freedoms and flexibility offered to students and faculty to be creative and explore their potential.  James is a native Lawrencian who enjoys performing music, studying languages, gaming, participating in community theater, and is a volunteer at a local wildlife rehab center.  He enjoys spending time with his family dog, Vinny, as well as his classroom python, Monty.
