Amy began teaching at Seabury in August 2003.  She earned her BA in History from Penn State University and an MA in Latin and Greek Languages & History from KU. She has been teaching Latin and Greek since 2001. From the start, Amy was drawn to the Seabury community by its students and faculty. In March 2004, she chaperoned her first international trip with the school. She greatly enjoys both planning and chaperoning these trips believing that travel is an essential piece of education. Her classroom is her stage. She loves bringing the Roman world to life and connecting the ancient world to the modern via poetry and lyrics. In her spare time, she loves reading Latin and historical fiction about the ancient world.  Much of her time outside of school is spent with her daughter, Esmeralda, and her family.
