Dear Parents,

Ms. McCaffrey declared in morning meeting that this has been the best and most enthusiastic spirit week she's ever seen at the school.  It was certainly an energetic and colorful one!  And I was very proud of our student athletes this week as they swept just about every possible victory against some talented opponents.

Now that we are a few weeks into the school year, teachers will be sending progress reports for every student next week.  (If you are a new parent, please make sure that you have set up your account with Schoology as soon as possible in order to receive those reports, and contact Mr. Kellogg if you need help:  Some parents will find these reports to be an indication that their students need additional guidance with time management or study habits, and this is also a good time to partner with teachers in developing a plan tailored to individual students.

Student picture proofs went home with students last week.  They are due to Betsy by September 20th.  If students wish to have retakes, there is a $5 charge to be included with the form.  Retakes occur October 2nd.

I am very pleased to announce our 2018 National Merit Scholar Semifinalists: Ella Blake, Jack Blonigen, and Hilary Griggs.  These students are among the top 16,000 students (or the top 1%) of seniors in the country who take the PSAT.  Congratulations also to Chloe Akers, Ella Blake, and Hilary Griggs on being named Kansas Honors Scholars--ranking in the top 10% of the Seabury senior class by GPA.  Congratulations to these seniors!

Have a great weekend!
