Friday Letter

November 1, 2019

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all of you who have given or pledged to The Seabury Fund!  We are currently at $87,000.  Participation is vital to EVERY aspect of our school: students, faculty, financial aid, and even our beloved traditions, such as the Halloween festivities this week.  If you have postponed sending in your gift or pledge, please do so now by using the link: Support The Seabury Fund!  Every gift makes a difference and thank you again to those who have already given!

Break-a-Leg to our young actors tonight in their production of Pirates!  Please come out and enjoy their play!

Congratulations to our high school volleyball and soccer teams for their exciting and hard-fought seasons!  And good luck to Sabrina Eicher, Henry Nelson, and Oona Nelson as they compete at the KSHSAA State Cross-Country tournament tomorrow!

Don't forget that the BSAP Fall Program screening of Gender Revolution will occur on Monday night at Liberty Hall, 6:30 pm.  The event is free and a panel discussion will follow the film.

Next week, Deacon Jim Cummings will be a special guest at chapel to discuss his work with Kansas 2 Kenya, a ministry of the Diocese of Kansas.  K2K works with other organizations to achieve sustainable development in Kenya--such as fighting poverty & hunger, preventing disease and domestic violence, and supporting universal education, gender equality, child & maternal health, and agricultural programs.

Finally, it has been a busy but exuberant week at Seabury.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Yours respectfully,

Dr. Schawang
