Friday Letter

April 12, 2019

Dear Parents,

Students and faculty had their final form meetings before next week's trips.  These trips have always been a welcome occasion for bonding between students as well as with teachers, and I hope everyone has a great time at their various locations.  I have a high opinion of our student comportment whether on campus or off, and we have earned a very positive reputation with our hotel and travel vendors.  However, I always make a point of reminding students that the rules of the Community Handbook are doubly in force on these trips, and I would ask parents to make a point of talking to students about your own expectations.  A big thank you to the staff and parent volunteers for helping to make the trips successful!

Congratulations to the Seabury Chamber Singers on earning a "1" rating at the KSHSAA State Music Large Ensemble Competition!

Prom will be held this Saturday from 8-11 pm at the KU Alumni Center.  The cost is $40 at the door.

The spring theatre production will be a dinner theatre production of Our Town on May 10th.  Please see the attached flyer for information.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Yours respectfully,

Dr. Schawang
