At Bishop Seabury, we believe that successful education requires a close, productive relationship between parents, faculty, and students. We want parents to be fully invested in the education of their children and to feel welcome and involved at all times. One means of achieving this effective partnership is through the Bishop Seabury Association of Parents (BSAP). All parents with students currently enrolled at Bishop Seabury are automatically members of BSAP.
BSAP supports a wide variety of school activities while facilitating communication between the parents and the school. The Athletics and Arts Committees work with their respective programs. The Hospitality Committee helps prepare for back-to-school events, Open House, Convocation, Stepping-Up, and other events. The Grounds Committee organizes parents in periodic upkeep of the school. The Wellness Committee works with the Dean of Students to coordinate programs to help students live healthier lives. And the Social Committee plans events where students can have fun in a safe environment.
BSAP has only two standing officers—President and Secretary—and several Committee Chairs for various committees. These Chairs organize the efforts of parents within these committee areas. BSAP meetings occur at 7;30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month in the Music Room in Reese Hall.
