Ongoing/Future/Volunteer Opportunities in Lawrence/Douglas County
We seek automotive technicians who would be willing to help with minor repairs on our guests vehicles as problems arise. A car break down can make a tough situation even worse for a family, especially when parents need to drive in order to get to work. In the past, volunteer technicians have made the difference between a guest keeping or losing a job because of the help they provided with vehicles.

Volunteer Opportunity - 2011 Bert Nash Dash & Bash
|
In 2010, the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center took its long-standing "Nash Dash" race and added a "Bash" in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Center. More than 500 runners participated in the 5K and 10K races and thousands others joined the community for live music and children's activities in beautiful downtown Lawrence, Kansas.
The response and feedback from the community was fantastic, so we're thrilled to bring the event back and excited to announce that the 2nd annual Bert Nash Dash & Bash will be on Saturday, October 8, 2011. All proceeds will benefit the Bert Nash Center and the people we serve.
There are hundreds of different volunteer opportunities - from course marshals, to set-up and tear-down crews, to Bash volunteers. Lots of choices to get involved in a great celebration for the community!
